Nervous system and behaviour block is a multidisciplinary integrated course. This course content includes neuroanatomy, basic neurophysiology, peripheral nervous system, special senses and behavioural components. The course provides students with essential knowledge of the nervous system as it relates to normal and disease processes. There is comprehensive coverage of neuroanatomy, histology, embryology, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, parasitology, pathology, and pharmacology. The practical part of the course emphasizes on the anatomy, microbiology, parasitology, and pathology components. Basic clinical sessions are included to aid students’ in applying their basic knowledge to a clinical setting.
