The course aims to cover topics on physical properties of gases, basic concepts of thermodynamics, free energy and chemical equilibria. It also has an objective to give deeper understanding on applications of thermodynamics concepts by including further topics on electrolytes in solution, electromotive force, electrochemical cells and phase equilibria.
