Program Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (By Coursework) - Kalendar Trimester

In this course, the students are introduced to a number of research methods as an overview of the different approaches, considerations and challenges involved in civil engineering research projects. The course includes topics such as basic research processes, literature review in research, formulating research problems, constructing hypothesis and instruments, and establishing validity and reliability of the research instruments. It also focuses on developing research skills by providing practical examples from both qualitative and quantitative research for a balanced and comprehensive ground in research methodology.

This clinical course provides students opportunity to apply knowledge and skills for individual with mental
illness and their family in the hospital and community. Students will be attached to mental health and
psychiatric settings. Students are expected to participate in the day to day activities in the hospital and
community settings.

This course provides a platform for students to explore a variety of non-governmental organizations and
community services for the disabled, drug and substance-abusers, the abused and neglected, patients
who need palliative care and others. Students will be attached to one of the non-organizations or centres
that provide these services.

MDP20409 Renal & Reproductive System offers two essential systems in the Phase I curriculum.  Each system is run for 4 weeks. In the Renal system, emphasis will be on the developmental anatomy of genitourinary tract, renal functions, lower urinary tract and renal pathology. The Reproductive system will encompass the study of male and female reproductive system, human sexuality, fertilisation, formation and functions of placenta, embryology, physiology and pathology of male & female reproductive organs, highlighting some common benign and malignant tumors. Clinical exposures and the PBL approach will enable you to effectively correlate the clinical sciences with basic sciences.
